So the Singapore Biennale is back again. This time around it’s running from 11 – 13 March 2011 at the Singapore Art Museum, SAM at 8Q, National Museum of Singapore, the old Kallang Airport and Marina Bay.
To be honest, all these artsy stuff is a bit over my head since I usual indulge in the fluffy world of pop and entertainment.
However, this year, I’m pretty intrigued by the Merlion Hotel. I’m curious to see how they build a 5-star hotel room around the national tourism icon.
Apparently, I’m not the only one who is intrigued by it, 32 others who managed to snap up a night in the room are too. The Merlion Hotel as it is dubbed is actually an art installation by Japanese artist Tatzu Nishi for the Biennale.
Regardless, I am definitely going to pop over to have a look at the place when it opens to the public during 13 – 15 March 2011, 10 am – 7pm daily. Admission is free.
