Psy Showcase in Singapore 2012 Post Mortem

Psy touched down in Singapore around ~5 pm (SG) and with barely time to catch his breath, he was off to the press conference at the ArtScience Museum at about 7 pm. Surprisingly the press conference didn’t start as late as I thought it would.

Also, I must say that the showcase started quite on time. I thought it would start at 8.30 pm or something but no, around 8 pm, they started as stated.

Psy took to stage at around 8.15 pm and did 3 songs. His appearance only lasted for about 15 minutes or so. Thank God the tickets were free and not like you had to spend $X to redeem the tickets.

I’m not sure what was the first song Psy did. I didn’t catch the name but the second song is “Right Now” and he finished with “Gangnam Style” (DUH).

I was pretty impressed with the volume of the fan chants during “Gangnam Style” but it could have been louder still if there weren’t that many people who were just standing in the venue like a block to watch the performance.

Even worse, I saw people LEAVING the venue after the first and second song. It does annoy me when people who get hold of free tickets don’t appreciate the show and LEAVE before the show ends. It’s like why bother to get the tickets in the first place? Why not just give other people/fans who are interested a chance to watch the artist perform?

Anyway, don’t fret if you didn’t get to see Psy in Singapore for this showcase, we’ll see Psy in Singapore again next year for a proper concert after his new album is released in March 2013.

In the meantime, I’ve been reading about Psy’s health and with his grueling promotional tour schedule, I hope he stays strong healthy.

오빠, 건강 조심하세요!
