I was invited to the showcase for local rookie singer-songwriter Kenny Khoo yesterday and I got the chance to have a chat with him before the showcase as well.

I must say that I like his attitude and how he was very earnest in answering the questions that I quite randomly thew at him (literally).

Truth was, I got a bit lost making my way to Beep Studios where the showcase was being held and as a result, I was late and I missed my group interview slot by about 5 minutes.

However, the kind people at Funkie Monkies squeezed another slot so I ended up having a one-to-one interview session with Kenny instead.

So here’s the thing, the preparation for a group interview session and a one-to-one session is quite different. And when I realised that I’m going to do a one-to-one session with Kenny on top of eating into Kenny’s precious rest time before the show, I panicked. BIG TIME. LOL.

Anyway, he was really lovely and obliging the entire time I rushed him through the interview. I do feel kinda bad about the slight change I caused to their schedule but yeah, it’s all good in the end. I really enjoyed talking to Kenny. 🙂
