The Singapore 2018 edition of the Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo (KBEE) was held over 2 days at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Hall D, E and F. The event started with much fan fare at the opening ceremony which features the KBEE brand ambassadors – Song Ji Hyo, Lee Jun Ho of 2PM and Snuper. There was also a special performance at the opening ceremony from rookie group Boy Story as well.
The event started with an international group of children performing Disney’s High School Musical “We’re All In This Together”. Thereafter, there was a simple ceremony that presented appreciation plagues to the brand ambassadors. Before the end of the first part of the opening ceremony, everyone regrouped on stage to throw paper planes which looked pretty cool.
Then started the chaos off stage.
The fangirls in the audience started to move the chairs closer to the front and the neat rows of chairs became a cluster. At least no one stood up to stand on chairs or anything like that. Thank God.
Boy Story performed 4 songs and put up a pretty slick performance. However, I was pretty horrified to find out that they were aged between 12 – 14 years old. That is way too young to start working! Especially since it would mean that they started their training when they were just kids.
Also, the screams for Boy Story was way louder than for Snuper and Lee Jun Ho of 2PM. Boy Story is a jailbait. What is wrong with all of you??
Moving on. After Boy Story’s performance was a short interview with Song Ji Hyo. She is so pretty and adorable!
After Song Ji Hyo’s interview was Snuper’s performance. Snuper, that is not a jailbait, performed 3 songs including their latest single “내 눈에는 니가 (You Are In My Eyes)”.
I’ve kinda liked Snuper since I heard their song “Platonic Love” back in 2016 and this is my first time watching Snuper perform live. I missed Snuper when they were here recently in Singapore in September 2018 for the HallyuPopFest because of work. So glad that I managed to catch Snuper this time around; those boys are pretty underrated.
Finally, the last performance of the night was Lee Jun Ho of 2PM. Jun Ho performed 2 songs, “Canvas” and “Wow”.
Jun Ho was really cute as he kept trying to speak in English between songs. He was saying that the next time he comes to Singapore, it would be with the members of 2PM much to the delight of all the fangirls in the audience.
The event was over after about 2 hours. It was pretty fun even though I was kinda annoyed with how everyone kept moving the chairs to get closer to the front. I get that people wanted to get closer to the stage but if you came late for whatsoever reason and had to sit at the back, suck it up man. If you wanted to sit nearer to the front, come earlier! This is how fights and stampedes begin in a concert. #justsaying. Be sensible y’all.
