So I finally got down to checking out the music of indie band The Clouds from Jakarta after they sent me an email a while ago. I must say that I’m pleasantly surprised by what I heard. My impression of bands from Indonesia is that they’re of the hard rock/metal type sound which usually gives me a headache and I confess that I had mentally lumped them into that category.

The Clouds sound very radio friendly actually. They actually remind me of how Electrico sounded like when they released their first album. After listening to them, I’d say that The Clouds are soft/pop rock.
