I headed down to the Esplanade area over the whole weekend to check out the acts at Baybeats. Needless to say, I had to watch Electrico perform. It’s been 10 years since they last performed at Baybeats.

It also means that it has been 10 years or so I have supported them. 🙂

I remember watching Electrico performing one of their first gig (as a 5-piece I believe? Can’t remember) outside a tent at the Heeren for some roadshow event thing and there was like 10 or so people watching them. I was probably the only person who went down just to see them and I remember dragging @PopCultureBoy and @DanielLoo down to watch the performance as well.

How things have changed. 🙂

Anyway, it’s good to see them back on stage and working on new songs.

It was quite funny how they actually decided to use today’s show to test out new songs and see if the audience likes it or not. If the audience reaction was good, they’ll be included on the next album.

It was so new apparently that most of the songs didn’t even have titles yet. LOL. I wanted to ask the Electrico guys for the setlist after the show but Dave was like, “The songs really have no titles!” Hahaha. He wasn’t lying:

Anyway, I’m looking forward to hearing their songs when they are more polished. Everything is sounding very promising so far. Can’t wait!
