Just got word from the cool folks at MTV Asia that Big Bang will be featured in a 30 minute episode edition of MTV World Stage this Friday, 4 May 2012 at 11 PM (SG).

What makes this cool is that Big Bang is the first Asian Act to be featured in this live music series from MTV AND that this show will be shown globally! One up to Big Bang!

This episode of MTV World Stage: Big Bang features three live performances from the sold-out debut of the “Alive Tour” at Seoul’s Olympic Stadium in March 2012, as well as other show-stopping live performances. This thirty-minute global edition also features “Fantastic Baby,” “Bad Boy,” “Hands Up,” a montage of hits and their latest #1 single, “Blue.”

In case you didn’t know, Big Bang is one of South Korea’s most popular music act. Since their debut in 2007, the five piece group has built a massive global fan base and picked up fifty-plus awards so far including the “Best Worldwide Act” during the 2011 EMA trumping even Britney Spears. That said, Big Bang is definitely one music act that you need to pay attention to.

MTV World Stage: Big Bang premieres Friday, May 4 at 10:00PM (Indonesia) , 11:00PM (Singapore / Hong Kong/ Philippines) , Midnight (Malaysia).
