New Toy: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7

So I got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 yesterday after a few months of deliberation.

It was quite a tough choice actually. I was bent on getting iPad until I realized that I could do anything much on Haha. That was the iPad deal breaker.

Being a seasoned and biased iOS user, I must say that the learning curve to adapt to the Andriod UI is pretty steep. Many times, I’m like “so what now?” or “how do I get back to the previous screen?”. It is clearly a software and/or app UI design issue.

I really like the Samsung AMOLED screen though. Reminds me of the Samsung ultra-slim mobile phone series that I used previously. Samsung makes awesome screens and mobile phone cameras.

Speaking of which, the camera on this Tab is quite laggy. There is this one second or so delay when I tried to take a pictue with this. Definitely noticeable and slightly irritating when you are so used to the quick response on the iOS.

Anyway, this is not meant to be a full-on product review of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 but some thoughts and comments on my new toy; and a test to try blogging from this new device. πŸ™‚ In any case, ask if there is anything you want to know about this Tab and I’ll try to answer if I can/know.

Finally, any must have apps that I should install on the Tab? πŸ™‚
