So sad. I just found out that Ramin Karimloo is going to perform in Malaysia once again. This time at “An Evening with the Phantom” gala dinner at JW Marriott on 21 and 22 June 2012.
Even if I found out in advance about his performance this time, I still can’t go because it is a gala dinner and tickets are going at RM1,000.00 per ticket or RM10,000.00 per table.
Last year, he was performed in Kuala Lumpur as part of a concert called “West End Stars in Concert”. I found out about it too late to even think about going up to catch the performance.
If you do not know, Ramin Karimloo is an Iranian-Canadian actor-singer who gain world acclaim playing the disfigured musical genius in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “The Phantom of the Opera” and “Love Never Dies”. I can go on and on about his awesome voice but it would be so much easier if you just listen to him:
I got goosebumps as I watched him sing this when I was in London and the emotions in his voice made me cry. The girl beside me cried too. True story.
Anyway, for those of you who are interested and have deep enough pockets, go watch him sing. It is worth it. For enquiries, call +60-3-7725 1177 (individual seat purchase), +60-3-6142 9877 (corporate bookings) or log on to www.AnEveningWithThePhantom.com or www.tickethotline.com.my.
As for me, I shall just live with the memory of his awesome voice in “Love Never Dies” till I hear him sing once more.
actually saw this concert (one of the rare few concerts we actually get in KL)… was a great little showcase (plus Annalisa Kerrigan as his duet partner). hung out with Ramin and his wife after the show. cool people.
lucky you!!
