Seoul Adventure: Cat Cafe

So I’m back in Seoul for a holiday. 🙂 I’m becoming such a frequent visitor of this place that I should perhaps get a frequent entry pass or something. Hahaha.

Anyway, this time around, my friend suggested that we check out a cat cafĂ© when we’re here. Initially, I was like, “What is a cat cafĂ©?”

So I found out that a cat café is basically a cafe where the cats roam around the place freely and you are free to play with the cats. How it works is basically there is a cover charge to enter the place. The branch that I visited in Sinchon had a cover charge of 6,000 won on a weekday for foreigners. The usual charge is 8,000 won.

Also, on weekdays there isn’t a time limit on how long you can stay in the place but I think that on weekends, there is there is a time limit but I’m not sure how long the time limit is.

So if you are interested, you can check out www.godabang.com (site is in Korean only) for the various locations of their cat cafés and go play with the cute little kitties.

They have branches in Myeongdong (ëȘ…동분점), Gangnam (강낚점), Konkuk (걎대점), Hongdae (í™ëŒ€ëĄœì ) and more (but I’m only listing the more popular “tourist” locations). Just match the characters on the left navigation with the korean words that I’ve listed above. There is a map on the page so you can roughly work out where the outlets are. 🙂

And here are photos of the kitties that I took while I was at the cafĂ©. 🙂 So cute! <3
