On my last day in Yokohama, after I checked out from the apartment in the morning, I planned to find a locker in the Yokohama train station instead of lugging it all over the place. However, all the lockers for the large sized luggages were in use and I was in dismay; I thought I would have to lug my huge luggage around while waiting for my flight at night.
Fortunately, my Japanese friend was with me so after making some enquiries, we found a baggage storage service and I was able to leave my luggage there.
Here’s the direction to the baggage storage shop:
Look for the East Exit of Yokohama Station.
Walk straight until you see this escalator.
Once at the bottom, walk straight until you see the store “SOGO”.
Facing SOGO like the photo above, there should be an escalator to the right. Go up that escalator and walk straight. You should be able to see the store on your right.
Opening hours are from 9.00 am – 9.00 pm and it costs 500 yen per bag to store the bag with them.
