At the MTV Asia office this morning for the VMA screening, the kind folks at MTV Asia passed us a DVD screener for the first 2 episode of the new MTV series “Awkward”.

I read the series synopsis and thought that it’s just going to be another one of those typical teenage problems series. Still, I gave it a shot and watched the 2 episodes.

After watching the screener, I must say that “Awkward.” is hilarious! I like the humour in the show. 🙂 I actually like the dialogue as well. It’s pretty smart and witty.

I think the casting of the roles is done with a lot humour as well. In which series do you want the hottest “it” girl on the cheerleading team who is well, fat? Hahaha. Lots of ironies in the casting and script. Can’t wait to watch the rest of the series!

“Awkward.” premieres on MTV Asia on 4 September 2011 at 10 pm (WIB), 11pm (SG/HK/PH) and midnight in (MY) and airs every Sunday thereafter. Check http://www.mtvasia.com for more details.
