Mnet Asian Music Awards 2011 to be held in Singapore!!

For the first time EVER! The Mnet Asian Music Awards will be held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on 29 November 2011!!

There is a red carpet at 4 – 6pm and the award show will happen from 6 – 10pm. Having been to almost all the MTV Asia Awards when it happened, attending award shows are not for the faint-hearted.

This is pretty epic news really. It’s been such a long time since there is an award show of such a scale (and clout) will held in Singapore since the MTV Asia Awards back in 2004. This is also the first K-pop awards to be held in Singapore. Here’s hoping for more to come.

Honestly, I’m very excited about this event because it’s also been announced that Super Junior, FT Island, Inifinite and Brown Eyed Girls have been confirmed to attend the awards!!!

I’ve recently been obsessing over Super Junior so this is excellent news that they are heading to town. While I know that meeting the members of Super Junior is not going to happen even if I stalk them, I’m still going to try. Hahaha. I would so love to see Donghae, Kyuhyun, Leeteuk and Eunhyuk in the flesh. I would also love to watch them perform live too! However, I do think that I will never be able to fight with the other hardcore k-pop fans to get hold of the tickets. Besides, I heard that the tickets for the Mnet Asian Music Awards are mostly gone. And it’s still only in the presale period!

Oh well.

[Update | 11 November 2011]

2,000 free standing tickets have been added due to the overwhelming response to the event despite the fact that no artists have been confirmed to attend. (I have seen some reports that confirms Super Junior and Girls’ Generation though… nothing from the official sources.)
