Calvin Chen autograph session for his latest mini-album “還在夏天呢 (It’s Still Summer)” was held at Bugis Junction last Saturday 26 April 2015.
I am a huge fan of Fahrenheit and have always been supportive of each member’s activities and of course I won’t miss Calvin’s!
The first 50 fans who buys 2 of his albums will be entitled to take an individual photo with him and it goes without saying that I bought the 2 albums and went there earlier to queue.
There was a huge thunderstorm that day but thankfully, it stopped just in time to welcome Calvin on stage. He kicked off the fan sign with the song “It’s Still Summer” followed by “How Have Love Been” and “Open Up”.
I have met him so many times before and I was pretty sure that I won’t be nervous but I was so wrong! My heart started racing and I let my friend get up the stage first while I tried get myself together.
Calvin signed both of my albums before turning to me with the megawatts smiles that melted me over and again.
Calvin: (takes my hand) Hi!
Me: Hi Calvin! It’s been a while since we’ve met. How have you been?
Calvin: When was the last time we met? (Still holding my hand)
Me: During your last event, 3 Peas in a Pod! (Smiling happily while swinging our hands)
Calvin: 3 Peas in a Pod? Oh? It’s been that long? That’s like almost 2 years ago!
The staff interrupted our conversation and got us to pose for a photo.
Me: I know right! You need to come to Singapore more often!
Calvin: (shakes my hand) Thank you for your support!
I can’t really remember most of the conversation after that because I was too mesmerized by his charms. I only remembered that he held my hand throughout our conversation. When the staff pulled me away, didn’t want to let go of his hand.
Me: Calvin, take care of yourself alright, I hope to see you again very soon.
I was taking one step back at a time while I was talking and my hand was still in his. But all fairytale has got to end so, I said my goodbyes and left the stage.
I think the fans would agree with me if I gave Calvin the title of ‘fan service Prince’. He dazzled everyone in the crowd.
Honestly, I thought the emcee was kinda redundant as Calvin did a really great job of holding the stage all on his own. After the fan sign was done, the fans shouted for an encore and Calvin sang another song before he left.
I am already looking forward to seeing him again in Singapore, hopefully soon.
Finally, here are some photos from the fan sign that day.
