The Best 2011 Rain Asia Tour in Singapore

Rain was back in town yesterday to perform at a one night only gig at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Rain

Honestly, I’m not a fan but after attending the concert, I actually realised that I did enjoy myself at the concert. There were actually many comedic moments in the concert. My favourite one has got to be the one where the camera followed him into the quick change area and he started changing in front of the camera much to the delight of the screaming girls in the stadium. Of coz, after unbuckling his belt and unzipping his pants, he turned the camera away while he changed his pants. What a tease!!

There was also another part of the concert which I thought was hilarious. Rain would use a handheld camera to zoom in on a girl in the audience. The girl then had the honour of going on stage to be serenaded by him. He then wanted this small girl (5 ~ 7 years old) to come up on stage so he can serenade her but the small girl refused and started crying. Rain was (feigning) heartbroken and the stadium was in hysterics. The cheek of that girl eh? Hahaha.

While it is true that I had absolutely no idea what Rain was singing the entire time, he was a very good singer, dancer and entertainer. A very good showman overall. World class act!

I must also say that the stage had the full works, like the moveable platforms, the runway extension, rain simulation, pyrotechnics and a full screen stage display. It was the full concert experience, unlike the discounted stage for many of the other international music gigs that I usually attend.

I must admit that one of the reasons that I went to watch the Rain concert was to see him take off his shirt. Hahaha. He didn’t disappoint:

He definitely wasn’t as fit as he was during the Ninja Assassin movie but hey, he has still got a semblance of a 6-pack.

I actually have a picture of him completely shirtless but they were smart! They dimmed the lights such that you could see him shirtless but you wouldn’t be able to get any good photos out of it. I’ve tried to photoshop that photo but nothing decent came out. Sorry girls.

Anyway, here are the rest of the photos which turned out  from the concert. Enjoy!
