So I’ve heard some RUMOURS that there is a SingFest this year and it will happen later than usual.

I need to emphasize once again that all these rumours and speculations. I DO NOT have any confirmation on anything yet.

This entry also serves to be my SingFest 2011 wish list. 🙂

Looking at the gig calendar, I’m guessing SingFest to happen on the 19/20/21 August 2011 weekend.

Looking at the list of performers at this year’s Summer Sonic, I did a check and see that the following artists are available over the 19 – 21 August 2011 weekend and hence COULD make it into the line up:

• The Strokes
• Avril Lavigne
• Korn
• Red Hot Chilli Peppers – they are available but I heard that they will only play in Hong Kong… but I’m still hoping.
• Friendly Fires
• Girls Generation/SNSD

I also went to look at who’s touring around the region and will be available on that weekend:

• Avenged Sevenfold
• Owl City
• We The Kings

That said, SingFest could even be early September… and the whole line up will be different from what I’m speculating above.

We’ll see what happens. Fingers crossed!
