Earlier today, I was over that the MTV Asia office for a special screening of the 2011 MTV EMA. It’s very cool of the folks over at MTV Asia to organize the special screening again. It was also nice to see some familiar faces and meet some new people.

As usual, the 2011 MTV EMA never fails to entertain. 🙂

I must say that I loved the Bruno Mars, Jessie J and Lady Gaga performance best. LMFAO’s RedFoo was off key for Party Rock Anthem! The shame. I can see that he was really, really tired but it resulted in lots of tweets saying that LMFAO sucks live.

Also, I must add that while I love Lady Gaga to bits, what the hell was she wearing!?!?

To me, her dress reminds me of a fungus called “Lingzhi”. LOL.

I’m not sure if it was the intention of the designer of the dress to channel the fungus but it sure as hell got the whole room talking about that outfit. 🙂 It’s freaking Lady Gaga, she doesn’t really care if the dress is pretty or not, as long as it is a talking point. It sure met her objective.

Also, another highlight of the show was how a naked dude ran out on stage when Hayden Panettiere was presenting an award. I don’t even remember what award it is because all I can remember was a penis flopping around on the 42 inch tv widescreen. Hahahaha. I’m pretty sure that it would be censored over the primetime broadcasts and repeats… Definitely quite a sight and everyone got more than an eyeful. LOL.

Finally, I want to do a special congratulations to BIG BANG for winning the Best Worldwide Act! REPRESENT!! #AsianPride. While it was quite clear that no one in the Odyssey Arena really knew who the hell BIG BANG were, almost everyone in the MTV Asia office were clapping and cheering when BIG BANG was announced as the winner. 🙂

If BIG BANG (and Kpop fans) can trump Britney Spears in the Best Worldwide Act category, it’s a sure sign that Kpop is definitely on the way to world domination. 🙂
