The Nickelodeon 25th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards happened in the Singapore morning today around 8.00 – 9.30 am. This year’s Kids’ Choice Awards was broadcasted from Galen Center USC in Los Angeles.
Hosted by 10 times KCA winner Will Smith, this year’s show had no shortage of megastar appearances including Katy Perry, Tim Tebow, Taylor Lautner, Big Time Rush, One Direction, Selena Gomez, Kristen Stewart, LMFAO, Justin Bieber and many more!
Will Smith opened the show by parachuting down from the official orange KCA 246-foot blimp situated outside the venue. He then opened the show with “Can U Handle This” with lots of confetti filled balloons and green slime of course.
What’s a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with no green slime right? Haha.
Katy Perry performed her new single “Part of Me” live for the first time on tv. To be really honest, her vocals were quite crap during the performance. I sincerely hope that she either works on her singing more or just stop singing live. I will not blame her.
One Direction also performed “What Makes You Beautiful” during the Kids’ Choice awards and I spotted Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez dancing and singing along to the song. It was quite an amusing sight. Needless to say, everyone was mesmerized by the looks and sounds of One Direction; comprising of Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Liam Payne if you didn’t already know.
