First up, once again, big up and thanks to the people at FIJI Water for the passes to go catch the first full Nu’est showcase in Singapore. 🙂

I must say that apart from knowing the group name “Nu’est”, I don’t know much else about them. Everything that I know about them, I learnt from the mentions to me on twitter and earlier that day during the press conference.

Still, I like to give people a chance and I must say that I mostly enjoyed myself during the showcase. Must say that Nu’est are really tight dancing as a group. They’re pretty together and actually love how crisp all their movements are. Very nice. I’m also pretty impressed with their ability to sing and dance at the same time.

However, it is quite disappointing that the acoustics at Kallang Theatre was horrendous. I don’t know what kind of renovations they did to Kallang Theatre but the sound system and acoustics was way worse than before the renovations. It actually kinda marred the showcase because you actually can’t hear what the boys, the emcee and the translator are saying clearly. It started quite alright but as the showcase went on, the sound just got more and more muffled.

In fact, there were a few times, the audience didn’t really react because no one really knew what was being said. The most epic part was at the end of the show, when the hi-5 session was going on, everyone just completely ignored the emcee because everything coming out of the speakers was muffled.

Anyway, back to the boys, it was quite clear that the Nu’est boys are not the variety/gag type of idols, so it took them a while to warm up and show their fun and competitive side during the Quiz Show segment. Once they got warmed up, it got really entertaining. Haha. As I mentioned earlier that the acoustics at Kallang Theatre is crap, hopefully the videos I have are decent enough so I can post hopefully one the game segments for you guys. No guarantees at this point.

Okay, so after reviewing all my videos, I must say that the audio is pretty bad so I won’t upload any of the performances. I will however, upload a game segment called “Quiz Show” coz even though you might not be able to hear what people are saying clearly, you can watch the Nu’est boys’ reaction and it is hilarious. This game is actually the second one and it is where they are already warmed up and competitive.

So don’t complain about the audio or ask me for subs ok? Do let me know if you want to attempt to make subs for this. I’ll try to help you.
