You Me At Six performed their first ever concert in Singapore earlier today, 3 September 2014, at the *Scape Ground Theatre.
The biggest highlight for me of the concert was you guys in the audience. You all were just MENTAL! Amazing energy throughout the entire 1 hour and 15 minutes concert.
The lead singer Josh had hurt his foot and I heard that he was in a wheelchair offstage. I must admit that I was curious to see if he would hop/hobble on stage or wheel himself on stage. Just for the record, he hobbled onstage.
It was quite amusing how Josh had to sit on a high stool/chair for most of the concert while the rest of the band were jumping around and going all head-banging and rock star on stage. It was clear that Josh wanted to jump along too but he couldn’t. At one point, he even went, “EVERYONE JUMP WITH THEM (the other members).” LOL. First time ever I’ve heard such a thing at a concert.
The energy and buzz got to Josh and he ended up hopping around on stage with one foot while trying to rock out.
When the band left the stage, the audience didn’t let up and started chanting “one more song”. The band returned for a 3-song encore before they said good bye for real; but not before the band thew out a couple of guitar picks and drumsticks as the exited the stage.
Also, after the concert ended, the crew were also throwing the set list into the audience. Did anyone of you get any of the items?
It sure was a great night and the band promised that it won’t be another 9 years before they come back to Singapore to play another show. We’re holding you to that Josh.
I was rocking out and I lost track of the songs so I don’t have the set list. LOL. If anyone has the set list and wants to share, please feel free to take a picture of it and leave it in the comments (please tag/watermark your own photos). I’m also getting the organisers to share the set list with me. So yeah, whichever first.
