After we spotted Royal Blood, we spotted FKA Twigs as well!
I must say that FKA Twigs’ music is really not my kind of music. It’s too ethereal and Bjork for me but @PopCultureBoy likes her so I was like ok, fine, whatever, let’s go approach her.
FKA Twigs is super sweet and soft spoken. I’ll admit that I was surprised to be honest. I guess I have this mindset/bias about how people with lots of piercings and an eclectic fashion sense are somewhathardcore and have an edge to them but FKA Twigs was none of that.
Fun fact: before we approached FKA Twigs, we stood at the side debating if we should call her “FKA” or “Twigs” or “FKA Twigs” for at least 2 minutes. LOL. All of which sounded very awkward if you said it out loud to address someone; even though it was her stage name.
In the end, we just went with “Hello, can we take a picture with you?” LOL. Yeah, we just decided to omit the name, it was just way safer as well. (We have ever mispronounced artist’s names, which was very awkward and/or embarrassing. LOL.)
