Seoul Adventure: SMTOWN @ coexARTium

Just so you all know, most of the EverySing shop has closed and everything has been moved to this huge building at COEX and they have called the place SMTOWN @ coexARTium.

So SMTOWN @ coexARTium is the only place you need to go as a fan of any SM Artists. Just take Line 2 to Samseong Station and get out from Exit 6. You’ll see the place immediately, Just so you know, I took a bus there so the photo above was taken from the bus stop and not from the subway exit.

The place is basically a shop so there is no entrance fee or anything. I forgot to check their opening hours but if you go during standard retail hours, something like between 10 am – 8 pm KST, I believe it should be quite safe.

There are a lot of merchandise there so yeah, leave all your credit cards in the hotel/guesthouse/dorm.

I’m a Super Junior stan and all the Super Junior MAMACITA goods are so damn cute (and expensive). After a lot of deliberation, I ended up just buying the Donghae luggage tag (₩17,000).

I really wanted to get a Siwon one but our visual member…

LOL… The Leeteuk one is quite cute as well:

However, I was quite sad that there isn’t a Kangin one with the watermelon. Hahaha. That one should have been quite epic.

There are also keychains (₩22,000 each) and I really liked them a lot and the struggle to fight the urge to just swipe the credit card and buy the entire set of all the members is very real.

I didn’t look at the price of the button badges. The less I look at is better.

If you can make it out of the shop, go upstairs, there is a makeover studio, cafe and the SM Hologram Theatre is there.

There is also a display cabinet of a subset of the awards the SM Artists have won at the various music shows and awards over the years.

Also, if the artists have visited SMTOWN @ coexARTium, they might have left a signature somewhere…

Unless you are Choi Siwon, then you’ll leave your signature EVERYWHERE your face appears at.

From walking around the place, Siwon seems to be the only person who signed more than one. Everyone just signed on one thing/place/image. LOL.

Happy spotting the signatures all over the building.

  1. hey, I would like to ask since you mentioned the urge to swipe your card, then the credit card payment option is available at the store? thanks in advance~

  2. Hi i’m going to korea next month with my sister (a huge SJ fan) so we’re planning to visit SUM cafe & COEX. Is it in the same area? Like is it walking distance? Will appreciate it if you could advise me on this. Thanks so much!

    1. You can… it’s about 20-30 mins walk away. But you need to get out from the correct exit or it’ll be an even longer walk. Use Naver Maps if possible… it is more accurate.

    1. Naver maps is easy to use but it’s Korean only. Google maps is available in Korean but it doesn’t have the level of detail available in Naver map.
