I was so surprised to hear that Queen + Adam Lambert was one of the headliners at the 2016 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix! The legendary Queen!! Albeit sans Freddie Mercury. This is Queen’s first time in Singapore since their formation in 1970!

While I was pretty excited to watch Queen, they were admittedly way before my time and I wasn’t all that familiar with their discography except for those few anthems. Which is probably like half of the set list anyway. Hahaha.

I must say that Adam Lambert fits in pretty well with Queen and he did a pretty damn good job as a frontman. I’m not sure how Adam Lambert’s flamboyance would have compared to Freddie Mercury’s but Adam Lambert definitely held his own among the living legends that is Brian May and Roger Taylor of Queen.

It’s truly very inspiring to watch Brian May on the guitars. He makes playing the guitar looks so easy and effortless. I can tell you that it’s no easy feat. I did classical guitar for about 4 years and I can’t even do 10% of what he did. I probably should be practicing more but… oh well. It’s time to dust off my guitar again.

Also, I thought Kylie was the only one who did costume changes at a Singapore Grand Prix gig but I was wrong. Queen + Adam Lambert changed throughout their set too!! I’m not just talking about Adam Lambert being the queen that he is. Brian May and Roger Taylor changed too.
