Honestly, I never thought about anything else besides the price and the flight timing when I booked my return flight to Taipei. Usually, I would book the latest possible flight out but for this recent trip, I land back in Singapore on a Monday. I would be going back to work the next day so I decided to take an earlier flight instead.
Little did I know that when I was in Taipei, I realised that there was a very good chance that I would be able to see the Super Junior members at the airport because I hazarded a guess our flights were at about the same time.
True enough, I was right. HOLY SHIT.
Immediately after the concert on the second night, Donghae, Eunhyuk and Shindong flew back to Seoul. Leeteuk flew out in the wee hours of Monday morning and the rest of them left about the same time as me.
Even though it was an educated guess about their departure flight and so I decided to take the chance. There was no harm anyway. It just meant that I had to get to the airport about 1 hour earlier; which is a good thing because otherwise, I would be late (as usual). LOL.
After I was done with immigration, I decided to take a walk to the departure gate where the Super Junior members would board the plane to check things out.
HOLY SHIT.
There were already fans waiting there! Probably more than 20 fans even!! This has to be it!! I started to panic and freak out inside. LOL. In the suspense of the wait, I was flooding my friends in the group chat because I was just too nervous.
You would think that I have met so many artists and celebrities previously and I would be immune from being star-struck; but no, I really love Super Junior so much that they reduce me to being a teenage fangirl.
I am completely well aware that when Heechul, Yesung and Siwon shows up, it would be all over in a few seconds. And that was exactly what happened; Heechul, Siwon and Yesung showed up at the gate just barely 5 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time and walked right in.
They were escorted to the departure gate by the airport staff on a buggy and there were shitloads of security with them to make sure none of us fans get in the way of them boarding the plane.

I have seen Yesung and Siwon (1, 2, 3) in person a couple of times before and this is the first time ever I’ve seen Heechul so up close off stage. Heechul looks amazing without make up and he does look exactly the same like he does on screen. So ridiculous!!
Anyway, it was a really nice way to wrap up the trip even though the entire thing probably lasted less than 5 seconds. It’s a #cheapthrill anyway. And cheap thrills are always nice. Hehehe.
