Charlie Puth was in Singapore recently on his “Voice Notes” Tour on 13 November 2018 at The Star Theatre. And man he does not disappoint; he is still amazing.

It has been a little more than 2 years since he performed in Singapore on his “Nine Track Mind” tour. Charlie Puth appears and sounds more mature than the last time. He really reminded me of Lady Gaga this time with the keytar and all but minus the art and fashion.
Set list:
- The Way I Am
- Slow It Down
- How Long
- Empty Cups
- LA Girls
- Marvin Gaye
- Patient
- Change
- We Don’t Talk Anymore
- Elvis Presley “Can’t Help Falling In Love” intro -> Somebody Told Me
- Done For me
- Suffer
- One Call Away
- Attention
- BOY
- ENCORE: See You Again
The concert was just below 1.5 hours and it doesn’t feel like it is enough. It’s definitely an improvement from the 1 hour set back in 2016 but once again, it is just not enough! Super Show has really spoiled me. Anything below 3 hours is not enough. Hehehe.
Anyway, I really like the stripped down piano version of Marvin Gaye that Charlie Puth performed that night. It sounded great without all the additional instruments and processing. A good song is a good song no doubt.
Also, I have been so obsessed with “Done For Me” featuring Kehlani since it was released. I was pretty tired from a long day at work and hearing “Done For Me” live at the concert gave me so much life. “Done For Me” definitely sounds better live.
Finally, I hope Charlie Puth gets a good rest now that the “Voice Notes” tour is completed. Definitely looking forward to what he will put out next after his well deserved rest.
