Cambridge (band) to Open for New Found Glory Live in Singapore 2015

Cambridge, a 5-piece pop/punk band hailing from Sydney Australia, was just announced to open at the New Found Glory concert that is happening on 12 February 2015 at The Ground Theatre, SCAPE. I checked out their music video and there is no doubt why the guy at Impact Live Asia, the people at Pennylane Events and I are friends. Hahahaha. We have a similar music … Continue reading Cambridge (band) to Open for New Found Glory Live in Singapore 2015

Super Junior Super Show 6 Concert in Bangkok 2015 Post Mortem

After a crazy Saturday at the Ha Ji Won fan meeting in Singapore, I woke up at 6.30 am (SG) to head to Bangkok for Super Show 6, the Super Junior concert. This one of the craziest things I’ve ever done … Continue reading Super Junior Super Show 6 Concert in Bangkok 2015 Post Mortem

BEHIND THE SCENES: Ha Ji Won “Bridge of Friendship” 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour in Singapore 2015

For the Ha Ji Won fan meeting in Singapore on 10 January 2015 at the Singapore Conference Hall, I actually was actually meant to be holding a media pass (which I took anyway) but at the last minute, my friend needed an extra pair of hands and voila, I’m a staff member for the Ha Ji Won fan meeting. It wouldn’t be fair to write a review of … Continue reading BEHIND THE SCENES: Ha Ji Won “Bridge of Friendship” 1st Asia Fan Meeting Tour in Singapore 2015

China Travels: Great Wall of China, Juyong Pass (长城, 居庸关)

Visiting the Great Wall of China is also another item on my bucket list. The area surrounding the Juyong Pass section of the Great Wall wasn’t particularly picturesque but at the same time, you’ll feel this sense of awe when you see how the wall snakes up the ridges of the mountains. Also, you know how the wall separates the border of China back then … Continue reading China Travels: Great Wall of China, Juyong Pass (长城, 居庸关)

China Travels: Temple of Heaven (天坛)

The Temple of Heaven (天坛) was another major highlight of my tour of Beijing. I thought that the Forbidden City (紫禁城/故宫) was massive but the Temple of Heaven is about 7 times larger at 2.73 square kilometres. HOLEY SHEET!! Also, technically, the Temple of Heaven was supposed to be an extension/part of the Forbidden City but it became a separate property in the end. I’m not very … Continue reading China Travels: Temple of Heaven (天坛)

China Travels: Forbidden City (紫禁城/故宫)

The Forbidden City is one of the places to visit on my bucket list. You have no idea how excited and fascinated I am with visiting the place. I watch too many dramas and period dramas (古装) is one of my most favourite genre; another genre being those martial arts/pugilistic world (武侠) types. Some of you might recognise the places in the photo above from some of … Continue reading China Travels: Forbidden City (紫禁城/故宫)

China Travels: Tian’anmen Square (天安门广场)

Tian’anmen Square (天安门广场) is no doubt one of the most famous and popular landmarks in Beijing and the entire China as well. I’m not repeating the entire history of the Tian’anmen Square here but I’d suggest that you go google and read up about the historical importance of this place if you don’t already know why. The plaza is one of the largest plazas in the world … Continue reading China Travels: Tian’anmen Square (天安门广场)

The joven.at.heart List of 2014’s Best and Worst

This list of “Best and Worst” is by no means scientific but it’s purely from my own biased experience and what left such an impression in my head for the 2014 year. Given the amount of things that I get up to, I actually forget that I had attended a certain concert/event. I’m not kidding. LOL. So if things left an impression in my head, it … Continue reading The joven.at.heart List of 2014’s Best and Worst
