Mark Bonafide at Music Matters Live 2014 Post Mortem

First up, I just realised that this is the first time I’ve ever watched Mark Bonafide perform live. I feel like I need to apologise to Mark Bonafide for not checking out his live performance earlier despite knowing about him for years.

I like to check out and support local artists but I’m not sure what happened in the last couple of years where I kinda stopped… (ok, maybe coz Kpop happened).

I can’t remember exactly what song it was but I’m pretty sure it was one of the earlier singles from “The Bonafide Experience” and I thought, “WOW! This is nice!! I like!”

Anyway, it was also a bit of fate that I watched this performance. I was in Aquanova from Trick’s performance earlier and I had planned to leave to get a bit of a head start on writing and sleep coz I still supposed to take it easy and get sufficient rest after the accident 2 weeks or so ago… but who am I kidding? I don’t get much if any sleep at all throughout the entire Music Matters Live week every year. LOL.

I must say that I’m really glad that I hung around and caught the Mark Bonafide performance. It was really, really good! There was a finesse and slickness in the performance which is missing/lacking in a lot of local performers.

I’m rediscovering the local music scene again and it’s looking really promising. Can’t wait to check out more acts at Music Matters Live tomorrow (22 May 2014) till Saturday (24 May 2014). Performances at the Clarke Quay Fountain Stage is open to the public and free for all. Entry rules applies for other venues.

Regardless, come down and say ‘hi’!
