This recent trip to Korea was actually planned way back in September 2014. We booked our flights in December 2014. Haha. So to be honest, it was pure coincidence that we got to catch some of the Cherry Blossoms and other flowers that started to bloom.

I’d like to say that there are Cherry Blossom trees pretty much all over the place but the parks definitely have a higher concentration of Cherry Blossom trees.
I must say that when I googled/naver-ed to find out where in Yeouido to see the Cherry Blossoms but everyone’s instructions was like, get out from Exit 6 of the National Assembly Station and walk for 5 minutes or get out from Exit 2 of Yeouinaru Station and walk for 20 minutes. It was pretty frustrating because like which direction should I walk in and was it just straight or what?!
So I’ll tell you guys once and for all, it actually doesn’t really matter. Any part of the Hangang Park would have a lovely Cherry Blossom covered path. Just walk towards Han River and once you near the water, you will be able to see the Cherry Blossom covered paths.

I recommend getting out of Exit 2 at Yeouinaru station because that exit is the closest to Han River. In fact, the moment you exit the station, you’ll be greeted by Cherry Blossoms.

From there, you can really just walk straight and admire the scenery.

Check out some of the photos that I took at Yeouido.
While I have never seen the peak of Cherry Blossom season, I think I would prefer the start/just before the peak of Cherry Blossom season. In part because at different stages of bloom, I get to see the many different shades of pink and there are more variety of photos that I can take vs at full blossom, after a while, everything looks the same.
Also, when I was in Busan, we didn’t managed to find the garden which is supposedly the best place to see Cherry Blossoms. It was already peak bloom when I was in Busan.
Still, we managed to see Cherry Blossom trees lined street behind the Lotte Casino in Busan.

As this is my first time seeing Cherry Blossoms in bloom, I was surprised to see that the flowers actually grows on the tree trunk as well.

Finally, when I headed over to Bundang, I think the view of Cherry Blossoms there are even prettier there than in Yeouido/Seoul! Partly because the space is wider, the environment is quieter with lesser vehicles and there are more colours to complement the various shades of Cherry Blossom pink.

Looks unreal isn’t it?

Check it out the rest of the photos from Bundang:
Bundang-gu is beautiful isn’t it? Unfortunately, I can’t share how to get there because I, myself have no idea where exactly I went to in Bundang/Sunae. I was with a friend and my friend was driving me around so…
