You can vote for your favourite artists at vma.mtv.com. Take note that you will be able to vote for the “MTV Artist To Watch” award, presented by Taco Bell®, through the pre-show airing at 7.00 am (TH/WIB), 8.00 am (PH/SG) and 9.00 am (MY). At that time, the top two artists will be revealed, kicking off a live hashtag vote and the winner will be announced during the live main telecast.

The nominees for the socially voted category “Best Song of Summer” will be announced at a later date.

As soon as the list of nominees were revealed, there was some Twitter drama and it all began when Nicki Minaj started a rant about how Black woman don’t get the credit/recognition it deserves for it’s influence on pop culture.

Taylor Swift then made herself look like such a brat when she responded to Nicki Minaj’s rants thinking that those tweets were aimed at her. LOL. She has since deleted those tweets and apologised to Nicki publicly on Twitter and according to news reports, she has also called Nicki to apologise about the boo-boo.

All is well between Taylor Swift and Nicki Minaj now (or so they say).

The whole drama was so entertaining and hilarious if you ask me. I’m on #TeamNicki if you wanna know.

Some people said Nicki Minaj was whining about not getting a “Video Of The Year”  nomination but she does really have a point but it is what is it, the industry isn’t fair but it’s the consumers who demand it… right?

Anyway, the MTV VMA is known to be a popularity contest (since the public can vote for it) so I don’t think Nicki needs to be too upset over not being nominated for the “Video Of The Year” award.

It definitely will be interesting to see what happens at the VMA during the “Video Of The Year” award, regardless of whether Taylor Swift wins it or not. Personally, I’d like Ed Shearan to win with “Thinking Out Loud”, it’s such a simple and yet powerful video. Let’s see what happens on 31 August 2015 at 9.00 am (SG).

Finally, the host of 2015 MTV Video Music Awards is… Miley Cyrus!
