BIGSTAR finished their pre-recording for Show Champion in no time to be honest. They only did one take for camera rehearsal and one take for the actual filming.
It was really good to know that BIGSTAR are so damn awesome and professional but from a fan perspective, it was actually pretty annoying because we had waited for at least 1.5 hours and more (for some of the fans) to watch them and they were done in less than 10 minutes!!
As a result, the BIGSTAR boys and their manager agreed to an impromptu fan meet/hi-touch event after the pre-recording after some Korean fans in the queue asked and badgered the fan manager a little for a post-recording fan meet/hi-touch event.
BIGSTAR did a post recording fan meet/hi-touch event after almost all recordings on the week before but I wasn’t able to make it unfortunately. It was my last day in Seoul and they finally did a fan event that I could attend before I flew back to Singapore! Hence that’s why my last day in Seoul was the craziest but also the most worth it!
Note: Just so you know, I didn’t bring my DSLR along for this trip so all my photos are taken exclusively via my iPhone so some of them aren’t of very good quality.

During the hi-touch, I was #6 in the line. The boys were really sweet and lovely as usual. I was too excited to be able to see them again after 1 year that I couldn’t Korean anymore so I just spoke to the boys in simple English, except to Jude and Raehwan. Jude’s fluent in English so you can prattle all you want in that short time. Raehwan can speak English pretty well as he had studied in Philippines for a couple of months previously.

Baram was in a daze and very moody during the entire fan event. You couldn’t blame him as his beloved dog of 13 years had died the night before. Baram is my favourite member in BIGSTAR so you can imagine how my heart ached for him.
I was also really grateful and thankful that I was able to express my concern and condolences to him personally. He was trying to smile but he just couldn’t. I would have loved to give that poor boy a hug then as he looked like he really needed one but I think if I did (with permission from him of coz!), their manager and the other fans present would have killed me. LOL.
After the hi-touch portion was over, Baram definitely looked less sad and he managed to smile a little even; which made me feel happier for him as well. ^^

Many of the fans present didn’t know this as they had all left after the 20~30 minutes-ish fan event but after BIGSTAR went back into the MBC Dream Center, they came back out again after about 10 minutes to go eat at the building where the fan event took place.
We weren’t intentionally waiting for them but we just happened to be standing around talking as BIGSTAR ended earlier than I imagined and I didn’t need to rush to the airport anymore since I then had an extra hour to travel to the airport.
We were actually caught by surprise when they walked out again and the boys waved to us as they walked past us. I can’t remember what random Korean stuff we were saying to each other (ie, Feeldog and Sunghak) and I can only remember Baram giving me a nod and wave as he walked past and Jude saying “bye guys!” to us in English because he remembered that we were English-speaking foreigner fans.
As usual, I got a bit too excited that I was able to speak English to them and I saw Raehwan laughing at me. I am always so embarrassing when I get excited. LOL.
Here are some of my photos from the fan event. Enjoy!
Finally, here is the compilation of the videos that I took at the fan event. Take note that I periscoped the event live for a good 5 minutes of so and I realised that the quality of the video from the periscope stream wasn’t very good only when I compiled the videos. Oh well, bear with it ok? ^^
One very interesting thing to note was that about half of the fans present at the mini fan meet/hi-touch event were non-Koreans. LOL. Which would explain why no one seems to be responding to the BIGSTAR boys. I understood about half of what they were saying but there was no way I could have replied or said anything in Korean.
아무튼, 애들야, 싱가포르에 돌아가기 전에 이런 좋은 추억을 만들어줘서 감사해. 어디서나 다시 만날 수 있으면 좋겠다.
Anyway, thank you boys for the lovely memories. I hope to be able to see you guys again really soon!
