This year is the 25th edition of the MTV Movie Awards and it will be hosted by the stars of the upcoming action comedy, Central Intelligence, Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart. This year’s show will be taped at the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California on Saturday, 9 April 2016.

For the first time ever, MTV will take the telecast entirely outdoors and onto the backlot to capture the essence of movie making magic against a dramatic night time backdrop. This is interesting. And I will help to pray for nice weather then. ^^

In another first for the show, MTV has partnered with Google for voting on the coveted “Movie of the Year” category, allowing fans to vote by typing keywords, “MTV Vote,” into the Google search bar. In other categories, fans can get loud and make their voices heard starting today, across mobile, tablet and desktop devices at www.MovieAwards.MTV.com, until Monday, 21 March 2016 at 10.59am Singapore time.

The show premieres in Asia on MTV on Monday, 11 April 2016 at 7.00 pm (WIB), 8.00 pm (SG), 9.00 pm (MY) and on MTV LIVE HD on Tuesday, 12 April 2016 at 1.00 am (TH/WIB) and 2.00 am (HK/MY/PH/SG). It repeats on MTV LIVE HD on Tuesday, 12 April 2016 at 7.00 pm (TH/WIB) and 8.00 pm (HK/MY/PH/SG).
