It’s been a while since I’ve done a post of the “SPOTTED” category. I’ve been so swamped at work and I was hardly keeping up with any current affairs or entertainment news.
It was really nice to be able to have a nice but short and quick chat with Lee Brennan & Spike Dawbarn of 911. I didn’t get to talk to Jimmy though.
I approached Lee first as he was the closest to me. Lee is so super cute and also pretty tiny. Hehe. As he signed on my album, I asked him to include “How Do You Want Me To Love You” in the set list the next time 911 comes back to play in Singapore.
Lee then said, “You know what? I was talking to Spike about this yesterday and he said that ‘How Do You Want Me To Love You’ did very well in Asia and we should include it… but we couldn’t find the backing track… Anyway, we’re trying to go to Malaysia and The Philippines as well…”
ME: “I WILL GO TO MALAYSIA IF YOU GUYS DO GO!!”
Really hoping that 911 does really go to Malaysia at least so I can get another dose of them. Just can’t get enough!
After I was done with Lee, I saw Spike and went over to him. He is such a sweet guy. I don’t really remember what I chatted to him about but I remember that just as I was done taking my selfie with Spike, I saw Jimmy going into the van. Oh well. So yeah, I didn’t manage to get Jimmy to sign on the album nor get a selfie with him. Next time I hope.
That said, I really like how Lee and Spike took their own sweet time with us. The whole interaction wasn’t rushed and all of us managed to have a chat (and hug) with the members of 911 (except Jimmy). It was really lovely and I haven’t had an experience like that for the longest time.
Here’s hoping that there is no need to wait for another 18 years to be able to see 911 in Singapore again.
