2020 Has Been Cancelled

2020 is cancelled

Due to the ongoing pandemic, there is nowhere that we can go that is not a supermarket. About half of the year has passed and I feel like haven’t really achieved much.

I’m still gutted that Download Festival 2020 in Tokyo has been cancelled. I had booked everything to catch My Chemical Romance’s reunion performance in Asia. I have tickets to watch Maksim (Mrvica) and Greenday and I’m not even sure that it would still proceed.

The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2020 has been cancelled as well. That is the largest entertainment event of the year in Singapore and it’s still about 3 months to go. It says a lot about the situation. At the current rate of cancellations and postponement, let’s just skip the rest of 2020 and go straight to 1 January 2021 or 2022 even…

I’ve somewhat always marvelled that I have lived through several historical milestones like economic recessions, the crossing of the millennium, 9/11 among some. Little did I know that I would live through a pandemic during my lifetime as well. I sure would have a lot of stories to tell my grandkids in the future.

In any case, life still goes on and hopefully, we will get to attend a live entertainment event in person again soon.

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, mask up and stay home as much as possible in the meantime!
