South Korean trio 8Eight took to the stage during Men’s Fashion Week 2012 Opening Show to perform 3 songs between the Spencer Hart and Songzio show. Leader Lee Hyun (이현) was notably missing and it was down to Baek Chan to cover his vocals.
This is 8Eight’s first ever performance in Singapore. It appears that they were a little unnerved by the non-korean majority audience. Still, their minimal grasp of English was sufficient to pull through the 3 songs set.
I thought that Baek Chan was a little pitchy and off at some parts and then a friend tells me that those parts were Lee Hyun’s. Haha. That explains a lot. Joo Hee was good though. She has some lung power despite her relatively small frame.
Anyway, here’s the setlist for their performance during the Opening Show:
- Close That Lip/Covering Those Lips (그 입술을 막아본다)
- Dilemma
- Wild Horses (cover of Rolling Stones)

8Eight also performed during the postshow party that night.
Joo Hee got the show started with a cover of Alicia Key’s “If I Ain’t Got You”. Baek Chan joined her later on stage and both of them did a duet on Adele’s “Someone Like You”.
