Seoul Adventure: Filming for Arirang’s Tour vs Tour (TV Show)

After being in Seoul for about a week, I finally got the opportunity to stop and blog. I was thinking that I would be able to take a break from work to get some writing done but I was so wrong. It has been nothing but eventful in Seoul to keep me from getting any writing done. LOL.

The next day after I arrived in Seoul, I went to meet my friend at the Arirang Studio for the “Tour vs Tour” filming. The taping I was at is for Episode 9 and 10, I’m not sure. LOL. I just showed up with my friend.

The show is about showcasing the tourist attractions in Korea beyond the usual tourist spots and it is in a format that blends broadcasting and social media.

Hosts Tina (Blady) and Benji (B.I.G.) would pair up with a foreigner living in Korea and go on a tour of the above said locations, the viewer then vote on social media to decide which tour lead by the host is more interesting. (Just so you know, Dave is the main host and he doesn’t do the tours.)

It was really interesting that I had to vote in a Kakao Talk group while the filming was on-going. It a first from the other TV tapings that I’ve ever attended.

Honestly, I was pretty sick on that day; I had a pretty bad sore throat and nose allergy problem from the haze situation in Singapore so I’d probably look like crap on screen. LOL. Oh well.

Anyway, head on over to the Arirang website to find out more about the show “Tour vs Tour”. You can also watch the show under the “video on demand” section on the website.

PS: This show is not an open audience thing like Music Bank, Inkigayo, Music Core etc music shows so there is no way to apply to be in the audience.
